The Meenakshi Ammal Trust founded in the year 1983 as a public charitable and Educational Trust by Mrs. D. Meenakshi Ammal, a noted philanthropist.
The aim of the trust is to provided Quaity Education to the poor students by staring various Educational Institutions to spread knowledge, to promote and advance the cause of education and the Indian culture by running Schools, Engineering, Medical, Dental and Paramedical Institutions, Hospitals, Libraries, Hostels and Similar Institutions for the benefit of the public.
Ever since the establishment of the trust it has grown from a humble beginning to the status of an University with an impressive array of Educational Institutions, reputed for its quality of teaching, that is imparted to hundreds of talented and deserving students by an eminent and dedicated teaching faculty.

Nurtured with the special care and concern of the members of the faculty, MAHER is marching towards the forefront in the field of Dentistry, Medicine, Health, Technology and Education. It has evolved into a beautiful paradise which not only hones the skills of budding professionals but also provides the perfect and ideal environment for anyone who comes to us to quench their thirst for knowledge.
